As we study chapter 1 verses 18 to 31, we are reminded that if we are truly following Christ, then we need to follow in his footsteps and not elevate ourselves but humble ourselves. In Matthew 23:12, Jesus said, “For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
